Eduardo Benamor Duarte is the director of the Interior Architecture department at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). His research, teaching and professional practice centre on the study, design and production technology of modular structures applied to the scale of architecture and design. 

The work of the Benamor Duarte studio is recognised for the design, production and exhibition of objects, installations and landscape environments and has received several awards and research grants from various institutions in Europe and the USA, including the NSF National Science Foundation, the Moroccan Ministry of Crafts and the Luso-American Foundation.
