The short film entitled Echoes of Solitude (2024), produced and directed by the final-year Digital Arts and Multimedia students (2023/2024) — Christoph Wanderer, André Peneda, Diogo Cervantes, Pedro Carvalho — was nominated for the Prémios Sophia Estudante 2025.

The Portuguese Film Academy announced the nominees for the 2025 Sophia Awards in the different categories on 14 January 2025. Echoes of Solitude (2024) is one of the seven national nominees in the Experimental Cinema category.

This short film was made as part of the Metamorfose (2024) initiative - the 100th anniversary of Franz Kafka's death - a creative, editorial and collaborative project developed in partnership with the Universidad de Diseño y Tecnología, Madrid, Spain (UDIT), and in the context of the Multimedia Production and Multimedia Narratives curricular units. The project was supervised by lecturers Marta Varzim, Tomé Quadros and Bárbara Oliveira, supported by ESAD and the ERASMUS+ international mobility programme.
